AN: You seemed to have really embraced your role as the camp’s leader. How has this week been for you?
ET: It’s been definitely a fun week. It’s flown by. It’s been a lot of fun to meet all these new guys and come and be the figure that they’ve kind of looked up to this week, so I’ve definitely embraced the role and had a good time with it as well.
AN: The Penguins have not been shy about what they want from you physically. How are you feeling right now about your fitness and size?
ET: It’s still July. I am happy with how my body is now. I know I still have a lot of work to do and that’s why there’s two months until camp. I think I’m right along where I’d like to be this time of the summer. I’m looking forward to getting back and really stepping on the gas in the weight room.
AN: You’re no stranger to playing in front of an NHL crowd, but the scrimmage will be the first time for a lot of these guys. How do they feel about it?
ET: I’m more excited for the other guys. I’ve played in big buildings and full buildings. Guys are coming up to me saying, “How many fans do you think are going to be here today?” They’re just excited to see some people in the stands. It’s going to be a lot of fun for me to just see how everyone’s performing in front of hopefully a big crowd.
