The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Steve MacIntyre from his conditioning assignment with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League.
MacIntyre, 31, played four games with WBS during his conditioning assignment, collecting 14 penalty minutes.
The 6-foot-5, 250-pound MacIntyre has appeared in four games this season for Pittsburgh, going scoreless with two penalty minutes.
MacIntyre, who signed with Pittsburgh as a free agent on July 12, 2011, has amassed four points (2G-2A) and 159 penalty minutes in 82 career games with Pittsburgh, Edmonton and Florida.
To make room for MacIntyre, the Penguins have have re-assigned forward Eric Tangradi to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Tangradi, 22, was scoreless in two games with Pittsburgh. The Philadelphia native leads WBS this season with seven goals and ranks second on the team with 12 points in 12 games.
