The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled left wing Eric Tangradi from Wheeling of the ECHL, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.
Tangradi recorded two assists and a plus-2 rating in five preseason games with Pittsburgh. He was optioned to Wheeling yesterday, but will rejoin the Penguins for their season-opener tonight against the Philadelphia Flyers. Tangradi is a Philadelphia native.
