Pirates catcher Ryan Doumit is scheduled to begin a rehab assignment with Bradenton Thursday, and right handed pitcher Ross Ohlendorf will make his next rehab start with Double-A Altoona on Sunday, July 24.
The club has also optioned infielders Pedro Ciriaco and Josh Harrison to Triple-A Indianapolis and transferred RHP Evan Meek to the 60-day DL. Meek’s earliest reinstatement is August 7.
The Pirates will make corresponding roster moves on Friday.
