The Pirates have optioned RHP Chris Leroux to Triple-A Indianapolis.
The Pirates have also acquired minor league catcher Carlos Paulino from the Florida Marlins in exchange for infielder Jim Negrych. The 21-year-old Paulino played at the Class-A level in 2010 with Greensboro (64 games) and Jupiter (3 games).
