Pirates send Presley to Triple-A

Struggling outfielder demoted; Meek recalled

The Pirates have recalled RHP Evan Meek from Triple-A Indianapolis and have optioned OF Alex Presley to their Triple-A affiliate.

Meek began the season with Pittsburgh and went 0-0 with a 5.59 ERA (9.2ip/12h/6r/6er/1bb/6so) in nine relief appearances before being optioned on 4/30.  He made four scoreless appearances (6.0ip) with Indianapolis, making his last appearance Saturday (2.0ip/1bb/4so).

Presley has gone 26-for-118 (.220) with four doubles, two home runs, seven RBI and three stolen bases in 34 games with the Pirates.
