Pirates sign two more players from 2011 draft

Pitchers Poytress and Jagoditsch sign deals

The Pittsburgh Pirates signed the following two players from this year’s draft.

Josh Poytress (18th round – LHP): Posted a 2.85 ERA and 56 strikeouts as a junior at Fresno State…Earned All-WAC honors in 2010 and 2011…Lettered four years in baseball at Fowler (CA) High School while recording 219 strikeouts.

David Jagoditsch (32nd round – RHP): Pitched 2.0 innings for Pima Community College this season… Also went 2-for-8 with an RBI and run scored as a batter.

The Pirates have now signed 12 players from this year’s Draft.
